About Michael Daniels
Born in Regina and raised across Western Canada, Michael Daniels’ music journey began with family singalongs in their Saskatchewan cabin, where his Grandma and Uncles introduced him to classic three-chord cowboy songs. His passion for music continued to grow, but it was during university that he discovered his gift for songwriting. Winning a local contest gave him the confidence to pursue music professionally, recording in Maple Creek and catching the attention of multiple CCMA-award-winning producer Gil Grand.
Michael made his radio debut with “Betting on Red” in 2018 and has since played notable shows worldwide, including performances in the Middle East, USA, Cavendish Beach Festival, Sunfest, and the Calgary Stampede. In 2019, his talent earned him semi-finalist honors in the International Songwriting Competition for his song “Yours Tonight.” During the pandemic, Michael captivated social media audiences, becoming a TikTok sensation with millions of views. His viral hit “Sunset Left” amassed over 3 million plays, and his TV appearance on “Canada’s Got Talent” earned high praise from judge Howie Mandel.
